Brothers! The time to celebrate the founding of our illustrious fraternity is upon us once again, and this year it will be an occasion of more than ordinary circumstance which brings us together. Our brotherhood came into existence on April 29, 1864 and we will therefore be celebrating 150 years of Theta Xi later this month. Our chapter and Alumni Board have planned out a number of events for this once-in-a-lifetime commemoration:

Thursday night, April 24thDodgers game. $35 per ticket—brothers, spouses, children, and friends are welcome.

Friday morning, April 25th: 11 am. 1st annual Theta Xi golf tournament at Balboa Golf Course (16821 Burbank Blvd.; Encino, CA 91436). $75 for alumni, $50 for undergraduates. 4-man scramble format; prizes for closest to the hole, longest drive, and lowest team score.

Friday evening, April 25th: 6 pm. BBQ at the chapter house (629 Gayley Ave.; Los Angeles, CA 90024). No charge. Come early and enjoy the brotherhood!

Saturday afternoon, April 26th1-3 pm. Photo slideshow at the chapter house. Features 3,000 photos from over 80 years of Alpha Zeta history.

Saturday evening, April 26th: 6294 Dinner Party! Cocktails served at 5 pm, dinner at 7 pm. Held at the Proud Bird restaurant (11022 Aviation Blvd.; Los Angeles, CA 90045). The Mason Trophy song contest between Alpha Zeta and Alpha Nu undergraduates will be reestablished. Spouses and dates are welcome—cost is $75 if paid by April 10th and $85 at the door. Dress code is business casual.

Tuesday evening, April 29th: “Coast to Coast Toast” at Alpha Nu’s chapter house (728 West 28th St.; Los Angeles, CA 90007). Reception includes champagne and hors d’oeuvres and begins at 5:30; toast is at 6:30 pm.  Other locations participating are: New York, Chicago, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, New Orleans, and Denver.
